As a top-level educator for the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), Divers Alert Network (DAN) and Emergency First Response (EFR), I am qualified to teach the entire curriculum from these organizations at both the student/provider and instructor levels; however, I focus on three related themes: dive safety, instructor development, and group dive travel.
Being a certified Diver Medic and Wilderness EMT, I have prepared myself to competently handle diving and medical emergencies in remote locations. I feel this level of competence is both an obligation to our customers and an opportunity to share knowledge with other divers and dive professionals. Beyond recreational scuba, many research and commercial diving companies seek our educational services to keep their employees productive.
In 2010, I re-branded my company to Better Dive Pro because I believe there is an opportunity to train scuba professionals to a higher standard. My focus for this community is to make advanced business and safety training readily available through our innovative eLearning courses and practical workshops. Our sessions are attended by new and experienced professionals without regard to dive shop or agency affiliations.
My wife and I travel to exotic dive locations with beginner and intermediate-level divers several times a year to enhance their vacation experiences with educational opportunities and superior hospitality. Our popular trips typically sell out several months in advance.
